Why I joined Empower Network.
The easy answer is because I wish that the Empower Network had been around when I started my online journey 11 months ago. How’s that for being short and to the point!
To understand what I mean I must take you back 11 months ago, and make sure you feel and understand where I was at, and what I was praying for. You see 11 months ago, I was looking and looking on the internet because I knew there had to be a system to earn money on the internet. What is the biggest challenge everyone has while searching the internet? Who do you trust? You see I had to have something. I eagerly needed to find a way out of the dire situation I had put myself, and my family into praying and hoping everyday that the economy would suddenly bounce back and relive me all the debt that I had stacked up in my business, and personally since it came crashing down in the summer of 2008. It was now November of 2010, and I said “this isn’t going to end anytime soon”, and the hole was getting bigger and bigger.
I was trying to convince people that they need a product, instead of building content around it. With teh Empower Network I have learned to address an issue that can be solved by buying the product. Do not simply present the product by itself, but create a context around it that makes it look like you are mentioning the product as a part of the context instead of building your argument around the product.
So I said let’s pull up our sleeves and find a way out. I saw sooooo many different funnel systems, and programs that my head was spinning and I said “am I too old for the internet”? (only 42 at the time) did I miss the internet revolution? How come all these 20 and 30 year olds seem to be making all this cash on the internet while being home in front of their computer? One of these programs has to be for real, doesn’t it? Finally after a meticulous search, and a boatload of free, and $1 trials, I somehow found a system that a person that I saw on stage at my network marketing convention was involved with. I got his phone number, and called him as fast as possible. I am the type of person that takes a long time to build trust. We talked and he told me where to go and what to do. I finished the conversation by stating to him “you know, if your bs’ing me, you are going to have to look me in the eye at conference, and tell me why you did this to me”. So I lunged in with both feet, and went to work. 1st. month nothing. 2nd. month nada, 3rd. month nothing. Meanwhile I am listening to training after training. Reading instructions after instructions. What was I doing wrong? Then finally in month 4 a sign up! woohooo! Ok let me call her, let me shoot her an email video. Hmmmm she won’t call me back, not responding to my emails, ok let’s keep moving.
As this process went on I found a host of things that needed to be done if I really wanted to create the leads and income I wanted. It was going to take a lot of work and and money just like any other business.
I had to make sure that the articles are accurate. Articles bring traffic to your website but inaccurate articles will drive traffic away instead of bringing repeat traffic. Spend a few minutes fact-checking to determine the accuracy of your articles. This time is well-spent as accurate articles are widely shared via social networks.
Everything that I didn’t have those first few months is obtainable from the Empower Network.

Stay consistent with your writer’s voice. If you want to establish yourself as an authority in article marketing, you have to develop a consistent writing voice that is easily recognizable. Make sure that you write the same way every time so that people know what to expect from you, and that way they will search you out when they need to know something in your field.

Eric – I found your article from a search on Google – while researching EN to see what all the fuss was about – I like your honesty and will give this a run for its money based on what you’ve said. I’ll let you know how it goes
