It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in social marketing or MLM selling, you probably remember the very first MLM lead you were given.
Do you remember how excited you were? It had been a bit like getting a shock gift on your birthday.
You knew what you wanted, the box was the correct size but was it going to be what you had been hoping for?
You were probably shaking when your hand approached the telephone. The reality was starting to set in this was the beginning of your MLM business.

So what occurred, did you make the sale? Were you disappointed seeing as there had been no answer, or you failed to get the sale or the appointment.
If you made the sale well done! I’m sure you were running around ecstatic as a butcher’s dog all day. But if you failed what did you do, did you really ask why you’d screwed it up?
Leads are the key to making cash in the MLM business and you have got to be a real master of the science and art of getting massive amounts of leads by employing a solid MLM lead generation system. This business runs on leads, leads and more leads. Leads are the sole way you are going to generate income.
So if you have giant amounts of leads and you don’t close a few of them, what’s the problem?
Each failed sale is a loss of money.
Not from the viewpoint of lost profits but you have lost all of the money you put into that MLM lead. Advertising and your time and the rest total up to cash lost.
If you didn’t convert that first lead, what did you do about it? Did you eat some comforting food, have a drink or kick a chair? And what did you do after that?
What you ought to have done was taken the time to realize what went wrong. While your conversation with your prospect was still in your mind, you ought to have analyzed that conversation. Did you fail as you couldn’t answer certain questions? Did you fudge an answer?
Because that is probably where you did go wrong? It would have been better to claim “I don’t know the answer to that, I’m going to get back to you” this proves that you are human and the person on the other end would have trusted you more. It’s funny that people ( particularly your mom ) know when you are making things up on the phone!
If you couldn’t control the conversation and the prospect was obviously on the offensive the whole time, perhaps you should look into some training that might help you. I have used a company call MLSP extensively on learning how to deal with these and other important issues.
Avowal coaching could be a heap of fun. Just don’t suddenly try it on your wife!
Nobody expects a hundred percent ROI, it would be nice, but it is unrealistic.
If you are still in the MLM business, hopefully you just shrugged it off and started again. It’s the only thing you can do to become successful.
